Company Overview
We are a media collective designed to support you. Founded and operated by three creative professionals specializing in video production, photography, and design, Koasis Media is dedicated to utilizing our passions to create purposeful content, support local communities, and collaborate with organizations that share our values.
Koasis Media is built on a foundation of dedication. We are driven by our shared passion for our craft and a genuine desire to create content that matters. Beyond our creative pursuits, we are deeply committed to supporting our local creative network and forging partnerships with like-minded organizations.
In the midst of the global pandemic, Koasis Media emerged from a place of adversity. Our journey began when a group of media production freelancers, brought together by a lack of available work—and a few seltzers—shared their challenges within the gig economy during COVID-19.
Our similar experiences and resiliency bonded us, and Koasis Media was born—a collaborative effort to share the limited projects we secured and to extend a helping hand to our network during a time of uncertainty.
Our humble beginnings lacked a fixed audience or a concrete business plan. However, what fueled us was a genuine passion for our creative trades and our commitment to continue creating remarkable content for others.
Soon, our path led us to a partnership with City Year San Antonio (CYSA), a non-profit dedicated to supporting students during and beyond the pandemic. We invested in a new office, complete with a spacious studio, to facilitate our media production services as virtual collaboration took center stage.
Our Story
From simple internal videos, our partnership with CYSA unfolded into creating impactful content, such as the finalist video for CYSA's pursuit of Impact San Antonio's $100K grant.
Within a couple weeks, City Year and Koasis Media orchestrated the creation of their finalist video—a 5-minute video featuring 2 locations, 6 interviews, and 7 collaborators. With determination, we worked tirelessly until the final moments.
On October 25, 2021, the news arrived—City Year San Antonio secured Impact San Antonio's 2021 High Impact Grant of $100K for Education. It was a moment of pure elation, a testament to our collaborative dedication and hard work.
Slowly but surely, we found ourselves working consistently with more organizations that have missions of supporting our community and improving the lives of others. It prompted us to reflect and evaluate how we could do the same with our creative trades.
Our tagline—Designed to Support You—is the embodiment of this shift in perspective. Our passions for video production, photography, and design became tools to help others, and drove us to seek out more opportunities to find brands with similar missions and values.
